TECHINCAL AUSTERE
MEDICAL EVACUATION
COURSE OVERVIEW
Technical Austere Medical Evacuation: The standard, run-of-the-mill Flight Paramedic course can end up being "death by PowerPoint." Our TAME course challenges the notion that critical care education can be boring. Students are immersed in enroute critical care best practices and then challenged through scenario-based exercises. While most FP-C prep courses will simply show slides of equipment and techniques, our students are pushed with hands-on labs and demonstrations. This allows students to gain a deeper understanding and expand their knowledge base before entering the clinical environment. Realism is the key to our scenario-based training, and we expand on this with our aviation evacuation simulator at our Concord, NC location. We also push students to learn and develop hands-on technical skillsets employing rope rescue techniques, non-standard evacuation platforms, and hoisting evolutions. These skills are critical to success, and in the field, you only have one opportunity to get it right. With the vast array of operational experience from our training cadre in civilian/military flight medicine, military special operations, and emergency management, we are able to deliver a wide range of actionable insight to just about any mission set imaginable.
